Phipps Plaza
While many malls across America are being repurposed into healthcare facilities, Phipps Plaza remains one of Atlanta’s most popular destinations.
With the announcement of a new Nobu luxury hotel on the horizon as part of Phipps Plaza, a major renovation and facelift was needed. The facelift, known as ‘the Streetscape’ showcases the mall as a high-end focused retail experience.
When the best is required, W.S. Nielsen lives up to our 40+ year reputation as the southeastern premier specialty contractor, offering architecturally niche’ turn key solutions.
On the Peachtree Road side of the mall, we installed a Sentech point supported structural glass wall entrance. Spider brackets were used as part of the design to offer a modern aesthetic.
In addition to the 45’ tall glass wall, we also installed a glass entrance canopy on steel by others. Unique to this structure, we installed the glass underneath the steel. The glass is lit up with floor lights and actually passes from the outside of the building to the inside – certainly a wow factor.
W.S. Nielsen offers renovation expertise with full design & engineering services from our manufacturers passed onto our clients in any sector. Have a design challenge, we have a solution.
CEAS+ is the ‘easy button’ for W.S. Nielsen clients. Together, we work off a napkin sketch, freeing up owners, GC and architects.
